TRAVEL NOTES

Some people have asked for information on travel itineraries and recommendations for lodging and attractions. I can only share my experiences and the notes from friends but here are my travel notes from places I have been and hope to visit. I will continue to update!

Delhi & Agra

Hello. I know its been a while since I have posted.
I started off 2018 by taking a work trip to India. I visited Pune, Aurangabad, and Delhi.
We of course visited a toy store in the airport and I just thought these Barbies were beautiful localizations.

Landed in Delhi to transit to Pune... the app says sunny but I beg to differ when I can't even see the airplane sitting right outside that window.

Not sure I would want my kid learning to spell here...

My record for this trip was 4 people on a motorbike... who needs a smart family sedan.

One of the vendors gave us all (men and woman visitors) these gorgeous flowers. I was flying that night so I gave my bouquet to a woman working at the hotel.

Wind farm off in the distance.

It's an India fable similar to tortoise and the hare... except in this case, the car crashed and the cow will overtake him shortly.

So after work days, I stayed after to explore Delhi sights (with a tour guide of course)!

First stop was to Qutab Minar. Qutab Minar is a soaring, 73 m-high tower of
victory, built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak immediately after the
defeat of Delhi's last Hindu kingdom. The tower has five distinct
storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony and tapers from a 15 m
diameter at the base to just 2.5 m at the top. The first three storeys
are made of red sandstone; the fourth and fifth storeys are of marble
and sandstone. At the foot of the tower is the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque,
the first mosque to be built in India.

Then I went to Lotus temple.

On Saturday I made the 4 hour journey to the Taj Mahal.
