Some people have asked for information on travel itineraries and recommendations for lodging and attractions. I can only share my experiences and the notes from friends but here are my travel notes from places I have been and hope to visit. I will continue to update!

Kek Lok Si. 2RM entrance. Elevator is 2RM each way.

Hilltop Waterfall Temple - long walk/hike.... ended up not doing

Evening of Lights at Khoo Kongsi. Date : Saturday, 30 July 2016. Time : 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm. Free.


Sunday – solo explore Georgetown (no tour guide)
Followed map to find street art.

Batik Painting Museum. Address: 19, Lebuh Armenian, George Town, Penang. Opening times: Daily, 10am-5pm. 10 RM per adult.
 
Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion. 14, Leith Street. 10200 Penang, Malaysia. corner of Leith Street and adjacent to Muntri Street. Tours are available DAILY at 11:00am, 2:00pm and 3.30pm. Duration: 45 minutes. RM17.00 per adult (including GST).... I just walked by. Did not take tour.

Little Penang Street Market monthly bazaar. Upper Penang Road every last Sunday of the month from 10:00 – 17:00.

Eastern Oriental Hotel – tea? cocktail.

One restaurant I would recommend is Mews Cafe. It is in hotel called Muntri which I would consider to stay at after reviewing reviews and comments.

Eastern Oriental is great hotel (pricey) that I would also consider.

Georgetown Wines was a great wine bar and restaurant.
