January 2016 Work Events

The second week of January is always a busy one.

Monday is Inventor Summit with evening cocktails.

Tuesday night vendor summit where all our vendors come to Hong Kong for presentations and of course, another cocktail event in the evening.

Wednesday we had internal management presentations all day. Then Wednesday night, I hotted the Women in Toys event here in Hong Kong for local and visiting members coming to see Toy Fair. We had a good turnout of 36 people (not all in the picture).

Julie and I are 2 of the 3 co-chairs in Hong Kong.

Christmas 2016 in US

I was fortunate to go home for Christmas 2016. Although I was stuck in Newark for 10 hours due to a snow storm, the rest of my trip was thankfully uneventful.

During the trip home, my parents, brother and I visited Tower Hill to see the light show and we took a few (rare) family photos.

Peyton got a bunny for Christmas. Snuggles is adorable, although he did poop on me.

This was a special day... Emery made a character on her iPad that looked just like me. I especially like the deep blush. I definitely need to take some makeup tips. 

The trip home is always too short. Always more to do and more people to see. Until next time!

Category Lead Team Building

On November 30, we had Category Lead Team Building. We did Firo-B which is a personality analysis to learn more about each other then an activity.

Can you guess what the activity was?

Yep it was bowling!

 We played a few games. First we played as a team with one row and our goal was to get closest to 100 points.

The second game we played was also a team challenge to get the most points. Each team member had to play at least 1 ball.

After bowling we had a nice dinner.

Then it was time for table tennis during and after dinner. This was the ladies game which got pretty competitive.

Red Bull Flutag 2016

An event I did not attend of fully understand. But Red Bull puts on this event where groups build a machine and launch it off the end of a dock hoping it will "fly".

Thanksgiving 2016

So we did a group Thanksgiving on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Tamara and Geoff were wonderful to host us in their apartment. Here is the group shot. What a great HK family!

Preschool Team Lunch 2016

Each year we do a team lunch. This year we had a buffet lunch outside at Pacific Club and then brought a few games to play.
