TRAVEL NOTES

Some people have asked for information on travel itineraries and recommendations for lodging and attractions. I can only share my experiences and the notes from friends but here are my travel notes from places I have been and hope to visit. I will continue to update!

2016 Bonus Dinner

It is tradition that after I receive my Hasbro bonus I go out to dinner. But not just any dinner. I go to a "new to me" restaurant that usually might be a little out of my price range. I dress up, go to dinner and order whatever I please. Wine, steak, the extra sides and of course dessert.

This year Meghann is here in HK with me so we planned bonus dinner at Sevva. It is a beautiful restaurant on the 25th floor of Princes building.

Gorgeous place.

The view from the balcony

Cheers to a crazy yet amazing year.

This place is so fancy they brought a stool over for this woman's purse to sit on.

Food!

My Wagyu strip loin off the smoker. The fries were amazing!!!

Did someone say dessert!?! Those caramel crunchie things were amazing!!!

Pune, Mumbai, Nasik (India)

Second half of trip is Pune, Mumai and Nasik.

We arrived in Pune Thursday.

Hard to see but there is man in back of truck counting his money.

Staying at very nice hotel. Have a suite which is bigger than my Hong Kong apartment.

View from my room.

The pool where I was able to sit during the morning on Sunday to get work done.

Towel animal on my bed.

Note there is no formal direction for traffic. Just free for all.

These ladies have talent.

It's like a zoo just out in public. Horse on the street.

Buffalo wandering outside my car window.

Cows eating out of a dumpster.

 Again, outside the car window.

Street market.
Temple.

Fruit stands.

These are little huts but notice that they mostly all have satellite dishes.

Car iSpy in Asia is to find most number of people per bike. 4!

Flowers from the vendors. I wanted a picture before we gave them to the hotel staff.

We took a group picture before going our separate ways.

Off to Mumbai Sunday evening. I spent one night in Mumbai and drove 3 hours to Nashik on Monday. Then drove 3 hours back to Mumbai and flew back to Hong Kong at 1:20 AM Tuesday morning.

Nashik was totally different landscape and reminded me of Arizona.

And of course there were cows!

It was a fascinating week in India and I learned a lot. I was quite glad to get back to Hong Kong.

Bangalore and Goa India

I am spending over a week in India. First two stops are Bangalore and Goa.

Bangalore first... I am at the blue dot. Thanks, Google Maps!

View from my hotel room.

Streets on the way to factory.

So many melons for sale!

There was a festival happening while we were there. We saw them carrying statues on this platform.

Gotta love the cows everywhere!

Street markets.

Traffic in Bangalore is crazy busy. Took us hours to get anywhere.

Remember to always wear a helmet even if it is a construction helmet. Safety first!

Not sure this is safe though...

March 8 was International Women's Day so I got a wrist flower from the hotel.

I can only show you pictures of the outside of the factory.

 Indian boxed lunch.

Here is the little plan we took from Bangalore to Goa. 1 hour and 20 min flight.

Now onto Goa which is coastal state. We are specifically in Panaji area. As I mentioned during my last visit, Goa was under Portuguese rule until 1960s so there is much influence still here.

We had a few hours yesterday "free". I had work to do but couldn't resist enjoying a little bit of the Goa resort life. So, I took my laptop to the rooftop pool. I did get work done, I promise!

 View from my hotel room.
Traveling to the vendor.

 More cows!

Fruit stand on the same road as factory.

Road to the factory.

At factory.

It is tradition at some India vendors to give visitors flowers.

That is part one of the trip. Bangalore and Goa.

Tomorrow we fly to Pune for a few days, then to Mumbai.
