So today is Easter. Since Thailand is a Buddhist country there isn't much going on here for Easter. Keeley and I got up relatively early and took a taxi to Wat Chalong temple which is one of the largest and most respected Buddhist temples in a Thailand.
We returned to the resort and then headed to Kata Noi Beach which is a really cool beach in a cove area. We took a Tuk Tuk to the beach which is an open taxi car here.
This beach was terrific. Less people and calmer waters made it a great day.
At the very end of the beach was thus awesome "restaurant" where we ate lunch.
I had another coconut. This one was better than yesterday's.
After the beach we headed back to the resort. Showered, changed and headed out for mani-pedis. :)
The sunset tonight was amazing.
After a little pampering we went to another local restaurant. More green curry. Yum! This one came in a coconut.
After dinner we walked through the bar area of Karon which was quite unique. We had the biggest shock of the trip when we saw a baby elephant on the street. Very sad.
Back to the resort where the Easter bunny brought us two scoops of ice cream.
Happy Easter to all!
